into the desert

We took a little getaway to the toasty, roasty city  of St. George, Utah last weekend. I guess it wasn't that hot...only 103.

Half of us went to Hairspray at Tuacahn outdoor theater and the other half saw Aladdin. That theater amazes me. Their productions are always so well done. It was Jeff's first time so I was excited for him to experience it.

We went to my beloved Zions National Park -- one of my favorite places in the world. With little nephews in tow we did pretty mild hikes, which was perfect and they loved it.


And one evening we wandered into the desert for some family pics to a place we had never been. I love the completely unique look of Southern Utah. Its so rare and stunning. It was probably our last getaway with everyone before little brother leaves us for two years...sniff sniff...so it was definitely valued time together.
