I love this day. A whole weekend full of tradition, family, food...what could be better. We're preparing to make the journey to my parents home for the day and I wanted to pause and document what I'm most thankful for in this moment.
1. Husband - we celebrated 5 years last Saturday...5 years! I can honestly say each year - even each month - gets better and better. No one could possibly be a better fit for me. I love the life we're building together.
2. Growing baby - I can't believe how excited I am to meet this little guy. It seems like everything in our marriage has been building to this point, making it rather surreal. What a blessing he's already been to our home.
3. Family - particularly my sisters. When we were little and would argue my mom would always tell us how she would give anything to have a sister and that one day we would be each others' best friends. Like most things, mom was right. I love them so much.
4. The gospel - I've never been closely involved in someone serving a mission until Collin and the past 3 1/2 months have been amazing. The change in him has been such an example and testimony builder. I feel blessed to have the knowledge of this true church.
Now...let the festive, frantic feasting begin!
