i convinced (like it was hard) jeff to come with me to nyc this past
week as i was traveling for work. i told him it could be a "babymoon."
he thought that was the most genius word ever and now thinks we need a
lot more babymoons in the next 5 months.
it turns out nyc is pretty hot in august. i spent the majority of the trip feeling very moist. we stayed near bryant park with quick access to good shopping and food. you could say food was a major focus of this trip. i like to think that's because our traveling buddies are major foodies, not the fact that my pregnant body wants to eat anything and everything it sees...

we even got some baby experience in the big city. and i mean real, legit newborn experience. a two-month old brown-haired beauty was in our care for about 3 hours and we survived! jeff's kind of a natural so he did most the work. i think he'll make a pretty cute dad.
just a sampling of the treats we indulged in during our stay. we had a day of shopping, mister softee (that stuff is uh-mazing!), and good neighborhood dining based on local recommendations. i had an unforgettable moment with a pizza that night.
and we saw newsies! i could watch those boys sing and dance all day. one of the best shows i've ever seen.

Mallory, thanks so much for taking the time to visit Shake Shack in NYC.
ReplyDeleteHope you had an awesome trip, and our team can't wait to see you again on your next "babymoon"!
-Brandy, Shake Shack
Thanks Brandy! I've been craving it ever since...Shake Shack needs to come west!
DeleteLooks like so much fun! I love New York! I'd love to hear your food recommendations. I don't know if Mr. Softee is gonna cut it in November, but if it's THAT good, we just might have to...
ReplyDeleteIt really is THAT good! I'd be glad to give you some recommendations. All of my partners I visited were from there so they recommended some really good neighborhood places.
