mr. turtle is his name

 

often when i ask jeff to do something or get me something, i tell him to "hurry quick like a bunny."

whenever i say this he stops dead in his tracks and slowly turns his head around, replying in his best turtle voice, "mr. turtle is my name. slow is my game."

he then takes the slowest steps ever witnessed by mankind to finish his task.

when we captured this picture in hawaii of a giant sea turtle on the beach, i knew it would be a great way to remind me of jeff's quirkiness. i used this easy tutorial and then made it my own by attaching it to dowels and hanging it with twine.

now i get to hear that slow, nasally turtle voice in my head all the time. i love how it turned out.
