cards, food, and friends

we escaped to the Norton's cabin two weekends ago.
it was the perfect quick trip--a little too quick--but we had a fun time with friends in the Wyoming Uintas.



we roasted hot dogs

over a fire made by true boy scouts... with gasoline....

Well they did chop their own wood.

we enjoyed the weather when the snow wasn't pounding down

the lake was beautiful

the carelessness was bliss

the company was good as ever

as were the drinks and tasty food.
I made stuffed french toast for everyone....Mmmmm

There were endless games of cards and marbles.

And for some reason I didn't get any pictures of Meg and Kyle's cute baby Anden.

Ugh...

yesterday i came home from work and found Hobbes laying on the couch.
he had chewed, devoured, and completely dissembled my camera.
seriously. it was in pieces.

with a little tear in my eye i called him a damn dog and threw the camera at him.

i then proceeded to make this tasty stuffed french toast for dinner.
it was delicious and made me feel somewhat better.
