Happenings and summer wishes

Utah weather has a way of getting my hopes up and then crushing them just as fast. It's heart wrenching. Wednesday I stood in the warm sun planning my garden spot and imaging how my peonies would look. Then out of no where came the snow.

But...I know summer is out there some where and will soon show his gorgeous tan face. And you better believe I'll be ready.

Here's what I'm most excited about:
SUNSHINE!
planting my very first garden and putting our yard in
hiking hiking hiking
our trip down the california coast
BBQs
boating
eating outside
late nights under the stars
seeing the corn grow
putting on a swim suit (this evokes both fear and excitement within me)
painting my toes and wearing nothing but sandals--on my feet
a diet of popsicles, fresh fruit, and watermelon margaritas

And now for your viewing pleasure, here are some of my latest pics.

Adorable Anden at the BYU game. Isn't he the cutest?

The view on my run the other day. It was actually warm and pretty, and Hobbes was fascinated by the cows we passed. That was before he slipped in a pond and covered himself in slimy green pond scum.

And this is what I woke up to the other day. He seemed to really enjoy his tub slumber.

A Pattern for Life

This video has been making the rounds on blogs and I love it. I think I've watched it four times. It's poetic and beautiful, but also powerful and true. Can there be a better way to strive to live? What an ideal focus for our lives and a perfect reminder of hope and peace.
